• This probably won't happen but i've heard countless people who like the old animations for wielding blades/axes/spears and etc. much better than the new way. Reverting them doesn't seem like a major task and i'm pretty sure it will satisfy many players.

• Can't. It has to do with not giving away the player's level.
  
  Divine players held them differently and lower levels held them theold fashion way. It gave away too much.
  
  Ether that or the different styles made the game buggy. Since the dev's of this game are very incompetent.
  Personally I think there should be an option to selecting which way you want it.
